Recent Improvements: Russo was impressive all around day making gains in nearly every metric. BP was loud coming from his explosive yet controlled swing. Russo's Blast metrics project him to hit for big time power with advanced rotational acceleration & bat speed (35 g's / 76 MPH) giving him what Blast calls "dynamic power", and it showed in the results with a max exit velo of 98 MPH, 90 MPH Avg and a max distance of 353 feet. Next Russo went out and threw and electric bullpen with high spin stuff and advanced movement on the off speed. He filled up the strike zone with the FB that jumps out of the hand sitting 83-84 MPH & 2400+ spin rate. Both the slider and curveball have advanced movement and depth through the zone, (CB: 2600+ RPM/ 14" vertical drop/ 17" horizontal || SL: 2896 RPM / -7" vertical drop / 22" horizontal sweep), while the changeup had low spin with some late fade. Russo is poised to make a big impact and will be an exciting follow through the summer.
