Team New York is excited to represent the Empire State in their Border Battle matchup with Team NJ on October 13th at beautiful Palisades Credit Union Park, home of the Can-Am League's Rockland Boulders and NCAA DII programs St. Thomas Aquinas, Dominican College and Nyack College.
Today we take quick look at the middle infielders who will be on display.
Note: We have two (2) catching spots remaining for the 2021 team.
Team NY / 2021 MIF
Aidan Clatur 2B / RHP / Warwick Valley, NY / 2021The MIF/RHP is coming off a strong showing at the Top Prospect Games held in Cortland at the end of September. Showed some juice to his pull side with plenty of arm from the left side; athletic frame that could fill out and project well at 3B but also stay in the middle.
|
Matthew Savedoff SS / RHP / Clarkstown North , NY / 2021Matthew, along with his brother Corey, will be back with us after a strong showing at the NYS Games held at the end of June. Handles the bat well through the middle to the opposite field. Similar to Clatur, long term projection could lead him in several directions on the infield. |
Dylan Tierney SS / 2B / Columbia, NY / 2021Tierney is also coming off a strong effort a the Top Prospect Games; showed easy effort with big results in the box flashing silky smooth actions up the middle. Left side projection will hold; power will continue to develop along with his 6-foot-1 170 pound frame.
|
Frankie DeMaro SS / RHP / John S Burke Catholic , NY / 2021DeMaro, along with Clatur and Tierney, also impressed at the Top Prospect Games. Spread stance with some easy lift to his pull side. Defensive actions should hold up for the middle of the field/left side. Also was up to 82 MPH on the mound with a repeatable, controlled delivery.
