September has arrived, which means one thing...our first fall event of 2017 is right around the corner. Our Eastern New York All-Star Games at Marist College will be held Sunday September 17, 2017 featuring 68 players split into 4 teams. Today we look at the third basemen  that will be in attendance and what to expect:

Eastern NY All-Star Games / Third Base

Max Luke 3B / RHP / Croton Harmon, NY / 2020 Rankings  State Rank:28 POS:3 Hard hitting LHH who made a favorable first impression earlier this summer. Power potential to his pull-side gap.

 

Thomas Carpenter 3B / 1B / Westlake, NY / 2019 Rankings  State Rank:91 POS:7 Athletic 5-foot-10 178 pound frame. Controlled approach at the plate; clean hands with suitable left side arm.

 

Nolan Giblin 3B / 2B / Jamesville Dewitt, NY / 2019 Rankings  State Rank:139 POS:15 5-foot-10 160 pound frame with a strong lower half. Spread approach at the plate; active defender to and through the ball.

 

Diego Urreta 3B / 2B / Walter Panas , NY / 2020 5-foot-10 160 pound frame, first time attendee.

 

Logan Koester RHP / 3B / Chaminade , NY / 2019 Rankings  State Rank:59 POS:14 Long and lean LHH at 6-foot-3 175 pounds. Compact stroke, uses the whole field; ranges well to his glove side with suitable left side arm.

 

Ethan Sarmiento 3B / 2B / The Harvey school, NY / 2019 Rankings  State Rank:117 POS:13 Physical presence at 6-foot-1 190 pounds. Flashes power to the gaps; hands work well out in front. Quick release approach.

 

Christian Brennan 3B / RHP / La Salle Institute , NY / 2019 Rankings  State Rank:165 POS:19 6-foot-2 190 frame ; open setup at the plate with some upward tilt to his swing path. Arm shows plenty of carry form the left side. Looking for a more aggressive approach and quicker release this time around.

 

Cole Hedden RHP / 3B / Niskayuna, NY / 2019 Rankings  State Rank:130 POS:31 Wiry, strong 6-foot-1 170 pound RHH with a line drive approach; looking for some more polish at the hot corner but is serviceable there and has time to mature. Projects well on the mound.

 

Kevin Bowrosen 3B / RHP / Miller Place, NY / 2020 Rankings  State Rank:6 POS:1 Athletic 5-foot-11 165 pound frame; easy effort stroke from the left side. Covers plenty of ground laterally with a adequate left side arm. Looking forward to seeing him again has he a spike in his measurable numbers over the winter.
