Call to the Hall (July 24, 2019)
Up to 6-foot-1 195 pounds (25 pounds added in the past calendar year). Features a low to standard 3/4 slot; delivery stays online with a slight fall-off to the 1B side of the mound. Fastball 86-89, touching 90 MPH with a late action CB working in at 75-76 MPH. Featured a power change at 77-79 MPH. Will be an intriguing spring follow in 2020. Continued physical development and added velocity may grab the attention of pro scouts.
What to Expect
"Bovair really has impressed over two separate committed player events, both Call to Hall games in Cooperstown, NY. Impressive physical gains over the course of a year; with that came a velocity bump to where he's clipped 90 MPH with a breaking ball that is commanded in the zone. The arm works with relative ease and with continued development of the change up could put him on a few potential draft lists this spring. If not Siena will be getting a polished freshman arm to lean on immediately. Excited to see him again and curious to get the Rapsodo numbers of his breaking ball in February."
Player Comparison
*Many times coaches will ask our staff "Who does he remind you of?" Player "comps" are a popular tool in the scouting/recruiting world and we have decided to add that niche to our feature articles.
