Northeast Has Another Prospect In Dan Dallas

Despite short seasons and cold weather, the Northeast has become known as a hotbed for high school talent. The region produces several top draft prospects every year and those that don’t get drafted or signed out of high school, get their share of attention after three years of college. The 2016 class is strong. Classifying the Northeast as Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and New England yields two of the country’s arms in LHP Jason Groome (Barnegat HS, NJ) and RHP Ian Anderson (Shenendehowa HS, NY), and at least a dozen others that will be followed by scouts this spring. While most of them caught attention last summer on the showcase circuit, there is an addition to follow lists that cropped up in the last few months.
In his own words, LHP Dan Dallas (Canisius HS, NY) is a late riser. Relatively off the radar last summer, the Monmouth recruit gained attention throughout the offseason and is now a primary target for area scouts.
