SCOUTING REPORT
Strong frame at 5-foot-9 160 pounds. Offensively- Even setup with a short controlled load of the hands; gains ground on his stride staying back and aggressive with his lower half. Overall balance approach with a short path into the zone; two-handed finish with line drive results. Exit velocity peaked at 87 MPH. Good presence in the box. Defensively- In the outfield, aggressive pursuit of the ball; quick step through instead of a crowhop. Infield like arm action with accuracy at 76 MPH. As an infielder he maintained his aggressive approach, working low to the ground with hands out in front. Stays active with his feet during his transfer, strong throws peaking at 80 MPH across the diamond. Another huge uptick. Versatile, all-around athlete.
WHAT DID WE SEE
"Miller, a superb runner at 6.84/60, has already put up numbers that are worthy of players his elder. There's an 'explosive calm' to his swing. He's going to produce a bunch of extra base results down the road. Shows well both in the outfield and on the infield...right now he's a player that probably can play 6 of the 9 spots on the field (all 3 OF and 2B,SS and 3B). Versatility and understanding the all-around aspects of the game will help shape his future in a positive form."
