Scouting Report
Crook stands a very lean 5-foot-11, 140-pounds with a frame that is capable of holding more weight. Pitching- Simple mechanics, high knee lift, long fluid arm-action, fastball sitting 79-81 MPH with downward tilt, easy action with more velocity projected to come. Significant bump in velocity from February where he was 75-76 MPH. Curveball sat 65-67 with some loose spin, changeup was 68 with fastball hand-speed, one plane. Advanced feel for secondary offerings and was repeating his delivery.

What Did We See?
In a 6 month span Crook grew 1" and gained 10 pounds. An already fundamental and repeatable delivery had more tempo. Although only 5-foot-11 he has very long limbs and gets some whippy hand speed. Velocity spiked 5 MPH with his peak FB and a 4-5 MPH bump in his range. Secondary pitches maintained arm speed as they all increased a touch as well. Change up would benefit more from getting to the 70 MPH range but the feel and command is there. Looking forward to tracking this 2019's progress down the road.
