NE Supreme Scout Day Spotlight: '23 RHP/OF Trevor Sundvik (Nyack)

Physical: Strong and thick 6-foot, 180-pound frame with power in the lower half of the build. 7.90 runner in the 60-yard dash.  

Offensively: RHH. Tall, slightly open stance with a loose setup as the hands start high by the ear as the barrel points towards the head. Utilized a leg hang stride coupled with stretch in the hands to the shoulder in order to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path through the hitting zone with lift after contact. The posture stays relatively high throughout with long levers covering all sides of the plate, displaying advanced control throughout a mature swing in the box. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 92 mph according to Trackman Baseball while peppering the LCF gap with backspin line drives during batting practice. 

Defensively: The primary outfielder flashed long, methodical actions arriving at the baseball on time while fielding off of the middle of his body. A soft glove hand played out in front with solid catch and throw skills, the arm was live through a high ¾ slot with whip through release. OF - 83 mph

Pitching: RHP - Slow side rocker step with deliberate rhythm throughout the pace on the bump, looks back and down with the eyes over the right foot before a medium leg lift allows a high ¾ arm-slot to get through the throwing window. FB showed a minor downhill plane from 80-82 mph, mixed in a 68-70 mph CB with 11/5 shape and late down action, countered with a 67-69 mph SL with different shape and horizontal plane, dropped in an occasional 73-74 mph CH with occasional arm-side fade.
