Midland Swarm Scout Day Standouts

The Midland Swarm Scout Day was held this past Saturday, December 14th at Tampa Catholic High School. The event was exclusively for players of the Midland Swarm organization participating in a pro-style workout and bullpens in front of the PBR Florida Scouting Staff. Today we will take a look at some of the standouts from the Scout Day.

Standouts
Dylan DeLeo (2023, Winter Haven, RHP/1B)
Athletic frame and moves well in the infield with average range and soft hands. Above average bat speed with 80 exit velo and good barrel awareness. Also a RHP sitting 74-75, sharp slider at 62-63 and changeup 69-71.
Ian Barnes (2023, Brooks DeBartolo, SS/RHP)
Athletic frame and moves well in the infield with soft hands and average arm strength with carry on throws. Above average bat speed with great barrel awareness. As a RHP, has average arm strength and was sitting 75-77 with the fastball, 63-65 on the curveball and 67-68 on the changeup.
Jace Cleveland (2023, Tenoroc, C)
Athletic and big frame at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds. Moves well laterally behind the plate with strong hands receiving and average pop times at 2.20-2.30. Above average bat speed with 82 exit velo and great barrel awareness.

Connor Vance (2024, Sickles, SS/OF)
Moves athletically in the infield and outfield with average arm strength and carry on throws. Soft hands fielding and quality footwork in the infield. Above average bat speed with 87 exit velo and great barrel awareness.

Zachary Redner (2023, Strawberry Crest, RHP/3B)
Athletic frame and moves well in the infield and quality bat speed. As a RHP pitcher has a high ceiling with above average arm strength with the fastball sitting 82-84, slider with sharp break 68-69 and changeup with armside sink 72-73. Has quality arm speed and command on all pitches.

Wyatt Fordham (2023, Plant City, 3B)
Athletic and big frame and moves well athletically in the infield with soft hands and accuracy and carry on throws. High ceiling as a hitter and corner infielder with quality bat speed with exit velo of 84.
Tyler Howald (2023, Lakewood Ranch, C)
Athletic frame and moves well laterally behind the plate with soft hands receiving and pop times at 2.08-2.20. As a switch hitter, has above average bat speed from the right side with 82 exit velo.

Isaiah Myles (2022, Alonso, SS/RHP)
Athletic frame and moves well defensively in the infield and outfield. Quality first step with soft hands and plays through the ball. Average bat speed with great barrel awareness. As a RHP sitting 79-80 with the fastball, sharp slider 70-71 and changeup 73-74.

Andrew Duncan (2023, Palm Harbor, OF)
Athletic frame and moves in the outfield with quality first step and plays through the ball with average arm strength and carry on throws. Above average bat speed with 83 exit velo and great barrel awareness. Ran a 6.83 60.
Seamas Gallagahar (2024, Wiregrass Ranch, 3B/RHP)
Athletic and big frame and moves well athletically in the infield with soft hands with accuracy on throws. Is a switch hitter and has above average bat speed from the right side with 83 exit velo.
Bryce Zicoro (2023, Cicero-North Syracuse, NY, 1B/LHP)
Athletic and big frame and moves well around first base with soft hands and above average arm. Above average bat speed with 90 exit velo and great barrel awareness. As a LHP has above average arm with 80-81 velo with the fastball, slider, 70-71, curveball 62-63 and changeup 74-75.
