Scouting Report

8/19/22

Physical: 5-foot-10, 175lbs with athleticism

Offensively: The swing is explosive; generates a lot of torque getting the barrel into the zone quick  with whip and plus bat speed through contact. Present power through the middle and pull side depositing a couple balls over the right field wall.

Defensively:  Displayed fluid, athletic actions in the with a sure glove hand; has plus arm strength with carry and accuracy through the target.

6/30/21

Physical: Twitchy, explosive 5-foot-10, 160lb frame with athleticism found. 7.65 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH - Loose, balanced stance with the front side showing slightly open; hands operating in rhythm deep at the shoulder. Utilized a leg kick to initiate the bat head through a high intent, whippy flat path into the hitting zone good enough for a mostly pull-side approach during his round. Blocked off on-time with natural sequencing found in the swing, producing efficient power to all fields and impact rotational scores per Blast Motion. More juice on the way adding to an already potent T90 mph bat-exit velocity. Middle of the order, run producer type bat with a high ceiling in the movements.

Defensively: The primary outfielder sprinted downhill with above-average pace during defense. Presented the glove hand on time with the left foot off the middle of his body, funneling cleanly after working laterally to get behind the ball. Accurate H ¾ slot and ability to go get the baseball in the air (corner OF projection, 84 mph arm).

Utilized a quick toe tap stride to initiate the bat head through a flat path in the hitting zone while landing wide at foot strike. Showed off a quality round of batting practice using all fields (living mostly in the middle from gap to gap). Hit into a stiff front side with an adjustable lower half throughout the swing, solid bat to ball skills in the box. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 85 mph according to Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary outfielder featured long strides on the approach while getting downhill through the baseball with a moderate pace throughout defensive evaluations. Stayed medium with the center of gravity at the fielding window using a soft glove hand off of the left side of his body. Was able to range to the glove hand side, repeatable transfers, and an accurate high ¾ arm-slot on throws from his position. OF - 77 mph
Pitching: RHP - Started from the middle of the rubber with medium pace to a compact delivery, medium leg lift, solid backside drive and a quick arm through a high ¾ slot. FB ranged from 77-79 T80 mph getting an upwards of 1923 max spin per Trackman Baseball, mixed in feel for a 67-70 mph CH with deception.
