March 9, 2015
Dan Cevette
Director, New York
As the High School baseball season quickly approaches, PBR NY will be previewing teams across the state over the next month. We will also be out scouting the High School season providing NY with the most in-depth amateur baseball coverage possible. To do this we have hired nine scouts, spread across the entire state to give players the platform they deserve to be seen.

Chris Wilk, P/3B, 2015
Tyler Hanft, OF, 2015
Key Loss From 2014 Team:
Ryan Feeney
Tommy Favata
Biggest Matchup This Season:
Shenendehowa
+ Matchup could spotlight two of the Northeasts top players if highly regarded RHP - Ian Anderson takes the bump.
Coach Furey’s Outlook For 2015:
Return all but two positions in the field, but we lose our catcher. Pitching is extremely inexperienced but many available arms to compete for the positions. Strong hitting group, led by Wake Forest Commit Garrett Whitley returns from last year.
Scouting Report On Whitley
+ Whitley who is ranked No. 1 in the NY's 2015 class stands an athletic 6-foot-2 195-pounds with a great baseball body. The Wake Forest commit has a plus arm roaming the outfield with exceptional speed running 6.5-6.7 60 yard dash times all day long. At the plate he shows a smooth balanced approach generating plus power to all fields. He is arguably the No.1 prospect in the Northeast moving forward to next years draft. He is ahead of Zach Sullivan (OF, Corning HS) who was a 14th round draft pick this year out of New York.
