CSN vs. Southern Idaho, Game 2: Scout Blog
January 31, 2021
College of Southern Idaho seems to have settled into their game after a 15-6 win over Salt Lake Community College the game prior and carrying it into the second game of the day, drawing extended at bats and applying pressure to the Southern Nevada defense, then capitalizing with the help of Zach Schmidt’s RBI double to left centerfield bringing in the first run of the game for the Eagles.
At 6-foot-0, 170, Zach Schmidt, oozed athleticism throughout his game, roaming a premium position in centerfield as well as the three spot in the order. His double to left centerfield opened the up, using easy speed to cruise into second standing up. His second at bat, he proved he could play the game, falling behind in the count, but making the most of his at bat with a sac fly to right field.
