The PBR National Rankings have brought a wave of positive attention to players throughout our state and we will continue to highlight those players with the PBR Rankings Riser that will feature the some of the most improved players in the recent rankings update.
Centennial backstop, Logan Cockrill, has worked his way up to the #14 overall prospect in Nevada's 2022 Class. Currently an Under the Radar prospect, he has the present tools that include a sub 2.00 Pop Time (1.95) and developing quickness, evident by his Laser Timed 60 Yard Dash being just a shade over the 7.00 benchmark (7.07). His stocky, athletic build with present strength in his lower half is used well throughout his game, especially at the plate where he stays in his lower half well throughout his swing as he stays mostly in the big part of the yard with pull side power potential. Cockrill has been a staple behind the plate for the Bulldogs and has referred to as a "high baseball I.Q. guy" and "extension of the coaching staff", and the 2021 high school season is set up to be his breakout year.
"Logan is a coaches player. High I.Q. catcher that can assist his pitchers. Strong reciever, great catch and throw guy, with a 1.90 Pop Time. At 5'10", 190 pound, he possesses strong gap to gap skill and power at the plate offensively."
