2027 Super Sophomore GM1 Recap: Pitching stole the show

‘27 RHP Michael Fekete (Cherry Hill East)

Athletic strong build at 6 foot 2-190 pounds. Since the spring it looks Fekete has put on some size and strength. Especially noticeable in the lower half. Really good mound presence from the young right hander. Pitches with energy and confidence. Has a consistent balance point at leg lift. Stable base. Gets down the mound with ease. Arm speed present. Arm strength present. The fastball was 83-86 today with carry up in the zone. SL 77-78 tunnels well. CB 76-79 more 11/5. Fekete went 3 innings today posting a 0. Struck out 3 along the way.

‘27 RHP Ted Masino (Delbarton)

Durable frame at 6 foot- 180 pounds. Really clean throw present. Repeatable with moxie on the mound. Masino is a clean mover with strong legs. Throws three pitches with confidence. Fastball today was 85-86 top 87. Slider 71-74 and CH which to date is his best secondary pitch at 79-80 kill spin. Lands for strikes but also got chase down. Tons of fade on it. Masino was every bit of perfection. He struck out 5 over 2 innings of work. 0 waks. 0 runs. Name to follow.
