Upperclass Games (September 22, 2019)
Portnoy stood out as the top arm to come out of the event, a true two way player at the next level still looking for a home. The broad shouldered, muscular 6-foot-3 190-pound right hander peppered fastballs that sat 85-87 touching 88 a few times in his inning of work. Flashed a sharp 11/5 breaker with late, tight break at 72-74 and a changeup at 79 MPH with armside run. Tall, athletic balance point with uphill shoulders going down the mound. Controlled, repeatable mechanics and maintains connections to the mound upon release point.

Ripped off a couple late, swing-and-miss curveballs at 72-75 with 11/5 downer action and wrinkled in a changeup with heavy armside fade at 69-70. Drop and drive type pitcher with strong, athletic balance point and uphill shoulders going down the mound. High Bronson-Arroyo-esque leg kick in delivery to create some deception, tall posture at first foot strike and quick arm on finish.
