+ SS Chris Maldonado (Seton Hall Prep HS, NJ), a Clemson recruit, took some of the best at-bats of the event, battling deep into counts while getting off strong swings that worked more direct with some length through the zone. There is strength present on his 6-foot, 180-pound frame, especially in the lower-half, and he utilizes it well at the plate with present pull side power and intent to work gap to gap. Maldonado carries himself with a professional look on the diamond, and showcased crisp infield actions where he profiles best at second or third base although he can definitely start at shortstop early on.
