Super 17's Fall Wood Bat Invitational at Diamond Nation this past weekend had some of NJ's top prospects in the 2017 & 2018 class competing against each other.
2017S
+ Tim Dezzi, SS/2B, Clearview Regional HS, NJ (St. John's commit)
Dezzi has a lean, physical build at 5-11 175-pounds. Plus athlete, St. John's commit. Overall, showcased one of the best offensive performances of the day. Homered to left field and doubled off the fence to right field in his next at bat. Sets up in the back of the box, quiet pre-pitch routine. Feet are shoulder width apart, hands are shoulder height. Uses a small leg kick to start load. Hand load is smooth and athletic. Aggressive hips and short swing produce plus power for his size. Sneaky quick on base paths.
+ Jaden Diaz-Lambert, RHP, Timber Creek HS, NJ (uncommitted)
Diaz-Lambert is a wiry athletic 6-foot-3 170-pounds. Works primarily from the stretch. Clean, short arm action at 84-86 with some arm side run. High-3/4 slot. Mechanics are controlled for size and length. Occasionally, wraps wrist with breaking ball, flashed a changeup for strikes with some fade. Uses lower half well going down the mound - elastic looking frame with room for muscle.
+ Ryan McLinskey, RHP, Don Bosco Prep HS, NJ (Seton Hall commit)
McLinskey showcased his fastball between 85-86 mph. Been up to 89 in the summer. Peppered the bottom half of the strike zone. Fluid tempo, breaking ball 70-72 mph with 11/5 depth. High 3/4 slot and high glove side going down the mound helps him get on top of the ball.
2018S
+ Nick Decker, OF, Seneca HS, NJ (Maryland commit)
Decker is a physical 6-foot 185-pounds LHH. No. 4 ranked prospect in NJ 2018 class, 36th nationally. Starts with a wide, open stance with hands high above his back shoulder. Uses a small leg kick to start load, viciously rotates hips through the zone to generate power. Bat path is flat and stays in the zone late. Quick hands and a smooth swing.
+ Kevin Eaise, RHP, St. Augustine Prep HS, NJ (uncommitted)
2018 Future Games Participant, Eaise continued to solidify his drastic rise on the recruiting trail this summer. The All Out Baseball righty threw five scoreless innings, sitting 87-88 with his fastball, curveball 73-74 with 11/5 shape. Lean, athletic build at 6-foot-1 195-pounds, Eaise's arm action is easy and fluid. His fastball jumps on hitters as he is a very low effort type of pitcher.
+ Sean Heine, RHP, Shawnee HS, NJ (Maryland commit)
Heine is a 6-foot-4, lanky RHP. Clean arm action showed well again. 85-86, touching 87. Curveball showed 11/5 depth at 72-73. Flashed 77 mph changeup with arm side fade for strikes. Lightning quick arm, sound mechanics. Projectable frame and room for muscle, Heine is able to throw three pitches for strikes.
