LINCROFT -- In another workman-like effort, Luca Dalatri and Christian Brothers took down Middletown North 4-0 in the Quarterfinals of the Shore Conference Tournament. The two starts for the Colts, North Carolina commits RHP Dalatri and C Brandon Martorano combined to lead the Colts to the victory.

Martorano got the scoring started with a two-run homer on the first pitch he saw of the day in the first inning. That was all Dalatri and reliever RHP Kenny Campbell (Lafayette) would need. Dalatri went five innings, giving up three hits, and striking out six. Campbell went the sixth and the seventh, allowing three hits, striking out two and walking one.

Martorano was 3-4 - a triple shy of the cycle on the day, while Cid Porter (Catholic U) and good looking 2018 prospect Nick Hohenstein were both 2-4.

Dalatri was sitting 87-88 the entire day, but dials it up to 90-91 seemingly whenever he desires. Campbell was 82-84.

CBA advances to the Semifinals of the Shore Conference Tournament, where they face Red Bank Catholic. The other Semifinal will feature Toms River South and Middletown South. See the complete bracket below, courtesy of NJ.com:
