New Jersey Underclass Games Preview: Left-Handed Pitchers
September 11, 2015

Scouting Director, New Jersey
Throughout the summer, we have had our eyes on most of the summer ball action and have seen many talented ball players. In this segment, we will be providing previews of players who are attending the Underclass Games on September 20th, broken down by position. These players will have a chance to display some of the notable tools we have already seen in front of many college coaches. Here is a highlight of some of the left-handed pitchers who will be in attendance.
Let’s take a look at a trio of 2017 left-handers; Aljo Sujak, Will Schaffer, and James Steindl.
Aljo Sujak, 2017 (Tenafly HS)
+ Sujak is one that I am excited to see as I have not seen since joining PBR. He has a wiry 6-foot-1, 170 pound build. He shows solid direction towards the plate but jerks his head to his glove side. He has a quick arm action that can deliver fastballs up to 85 miles-per-hour (sits 81-84). His breaking ball shows depth at 68-70 MPH. Changeup was the clear third option when I last saw him but I am interested to see the progression of this pitch.
