New Jersey: RHP Gianluca Dalatri (Christian Brothers Academy, 2016)
Dalatri earned player of the year honors in New Jersey for the second straight year, after going 10-0 with a 0.42 ERA and walking just four while striking out 118 in 67 innings. For his career, Dalatri was 35-2 with a 0.67 ERA in 249.2 innings. He struck out 370 and walked just 36 in that time. A North Carolina recruit and 40th-round pick of the Rockies, Dalatri pitches in the high 80s and commands his stuff well. He showed two breaking balls this spring—a slower 72-75 breaker with 11/5 shape and a sharper pitch at 75-78 that was an out pitch for him.
