Class of 2021 Rankings Release

Scouting Report

Quick Hit: Wiry athletic frame with lightning-quick arm from a true-3/4 slot. Up to 94 mph with fastball with heavy armside sink and run. SL is wipeout, up to 83 with late, 11/5 downer action

First Glimpse: November 2018 at a South Jersey event. Was 84-86.

Breakout Performance: 2019 Future Games Trials & 2019 Future Games

The Future: The Florida commit possesses elite stuff. His arsenal should promote him to a high level draft prospect come 2021.

Scouting Report

Quick Hit: Broad shouldered, athletic type with clean delivery and high-3/4 slot. Upper 80s with fastball and command for a CB.

First Glimpse: .9ers Baseball Club Scout Day, February 2018

Breakout Performance: 2018 Future Games

The Future: The Virginia recruit continues has put on strength and a few ticks higher on the radar gun will secure him a draft spot in 2021.

Scouting Report

Quick Hit: Clean, repeatable arm action with wiry athletic limbs, high-3/4 slot. Up to 92 this winter.

First Glimpse: 2018 Summer at a tournament. Was playing for FTB. Impressed with his ability to spin an out pitch at a young age. Committed to Duke shortly after.

Breakout Performance: 2019 Bergen County Tournament - came in relief against Ramapo and was ripping off sliders in the low-80s.

The Future: Romano continues to climb up the rankings and after a successful (hopefully) spring season and summer - will definitely see himself on scouts radars this summer.

Scouting Report

Quick Hit: 6-foot-4 prototypical pitcher's frame with long limbs and clean, whippy arm action. Mid to upper 80s with fastball and possesses feel for 11/5 curveball for strikes.
First Glimpse: 2018 Summer Preview South
Breakout Performance: 2019 Future Games
The Future: The West Virginia recruit is one of the arms in the class with the highest ceiling. His long levers and easy effort project him as a starter profile at the next level.

Scouting Report

Quick Hit: Strong broad shouldered frame at 6-feet 185-pounds. Works in the 85-87 range and offers two plus breaking balls - a 12/6 CB and a harder, later breaking slider for swings-and-misses.

First Glimpse: Rising Rebels Scout Day workout in 2019

Breakout Performance: 2019 Future Games

The Future: Schroeder possesses an innate ability to control the tempo of the game. A strike-thrower in every sense, Schroeder's ability to throw four pitches in the zone makes it tough on hitters. A big spring/summer awaits the Delbarton ace, filling big shoes with the departure of Jack Leiter. No doubt that he will rise to the occasion.
