There is nothing like the Bergen County Baseball Tournament - over 50 schools in one county trying to compete for the crown. The BCT is unique not only because of how many schools there are, but also because of how prestigious the competition is. With arguably the top parochial school programs in the state, Don Bosco, Bergen Catholic, St. Joseph’s Montvale, and St. Mary’s Rutherford - along with a plethora of public school talent including Mahwah, Ridgewood, Ramsey, and Ramapo, winning the BCT is truly a testament to a complete team victory. Most coaches around this area would say that winning the BCT is more difficult than winning their own State Section just due to the wide range of teams.
Today’s schedule will feature the top 8 teams in action for the first time, after they were awarded first round byes. Here the schedule - seeds are in parentheses:
