NE Insider: The Recruiting Angle with Seth Learned
This time of year seems to be a very nerve racking time for unsigned seniors and underclassmen looking to get on coaches radar. No need to panic, it's early in the spring and once it warms up, the coaches will be out to see your game. Relaxing and enjoying the spring season is important, so keep in mind, control the controllable things and work on your game.
Every season comes with anticipation and months of indoor preparation, especially in New England and in the Northeast. And in a split second, or so it seems, the season is over as the games are squeezed together because of time and weather happenings. Pitchers, get overused, and hitters have a small sample of at bats to prove they can hit and believe me it is tough to hit when it's 38 degrees in May.
The following weekly article will be a feature on a player who has yet to break onto the scene, but certainly has the ability to play and/or pitch at the college level.
Today we are going to take a look at Seth Learned, a 2016 outfielder from Souhegan, New Hampshire.
Scouting Report
Seth Learned is a 6-foot-1, 190 pound right-handed hitting outfielder in New Hampshire that can swing the bat. I've seen the 46th ranked player in the New England states lean on some balls in the cage as the set-up is even-based and the bat is flat through the strike zone.
