Updated Class of 2025 Player Rankings (August)

Throughout the summer we were all over the state, scouting numerous prospects and seeing many new names came to the forefront of the recruiting scene. With that information, we are updating each of our class rankings based off what we have seen. We start with the Class of 2025.

As school gets underway and the fall sports season kicks off, we will take a look at "What's New at the Top", "Notable Newcomers”, "Summer Showcase Standouts", "Prospects College Coaches Need To Circle Back To " and a look some of the top uncommitted prospects by position, and a close look at the Top 10.

What’s New In The Top 10

  • Matthew McDowell retains the #1 spot in our 2025 rankings as the potential 2-way guy continues to impress positionally and on the bump, he is committed to UConn.
  • John Paone, Duke commit, comes in at #2 as he shows serious upside on the mound with already plus stuff.  
  • Ranked 3rd is Grant McCubrey of Nashua South in New Hampshire, he is committed to Vanderbilt.
  • Lastly, the 4 spot is Garrett Snyder, Notre Dame commit, he is big with leverage and a plus breaking ball.

Notable Newcomers

  • Jack DePalma, a catcher from Bishop Hendricken, showed plenty of talent at two events this summer.
  • Tyler Dunlea, a big right-hander who has been injured, bounced back this summer to show plenty of ability on the bumps.
  • Declan Wilkes, of BB&N, showed extremely well at the Senior Future Games. The right-hander is a good one.
  • Michael Cioffi, Pinkerton Academy, is an undersized left-hander with really good stuff. 

Summer Showcase Standouts

  • Daniel Margolies, now a Clemson commit, made a serious jump in velocity. He is one of the better left-handed pitchers on the east coast.
  • Max Andrews, a Northeastern commit, bounced back from an injury to showcase very well at Dunkin Donuts. He is an athletic left-handed hitting infielder.
  • Dean Gobeil, a Umass-Amherst commit, attended the Senior Future Games and put on a good showing. He is a versatile athlete who can swing the bat from the left-side.
  • Shane Ritchers, an outfielder with plus tools across the board, runs, hits and throws, someone to watch. 

Prospects To Look At This Fall

  • Brady Hargraves, left-handed hitting catcher and outfielder, showed well this summer.
  • Brayden Lewis, strong right-handed hitter with plus bat speed and athleticism.
  • Logan Umbach, right-handed hitting catcher continues to improve his skill set as he marches into his senior year campaign. He can really catch and throw.
  • Liam Lennon, a left-handed pitcher, showed well at the end of the summer All Star game, mid 80’s fastball, with a good breaking ball.
  • Nolan Bell, a right-handed hitting catcher, showed a strong bat, with arm strength from behind the plate. 

College Coaches Need To Circle Back To

  • Tyler Kropis, two way player from Seekonk. He can pitch, plus feel from the left-side and he shows well with the bat. He has been a staple of his HS baseball team the past two seasons.
  • Tom Pender, Roxbury Latin, is a really good player that can swing the bat and stay at the corner spot in the infield.
  • Noah Durham, Goffstown, is a good looking arm. He was excellent in the ProCase this winter, he is a good to take a look at.
  • Jacob Hines, a right-handed pitcher, shows a quick arm, with an above average breaking ball.

Below we look to name the top 5 prospects in specific categories based on primary position in profile for the 2024 class rankings. Beyond this group, there are numerous prospects that can help a collegiate program in some capacity.
