Rembish Looking To Mesh Baseball, Academics

The St. Paul Catholic junior went to both Georgia and Puerto Rico for baseball at the age of eight. It sparked an interest in making the sport a big part of his future.

“The exposure to those tournaments helped get me to where I am today,” explained the 50th-rated 2020 in New England.

Where that happens to be is talking to a number of Division I schools, helped out by recent exposure at three PBR summer events, Top Prospect Games II, Future Games and the New England Academic Games II.

“The Future Games was a great experience, Rembish noted. “It definitely was worth the trip down to Indiana. It opened a lot of doors for me. I got more exposed to college coaches and I’ve had more communication after that.

“The Academics was a great showcase as well,” continued Rembish, who had the best fastball and was named the best 2020 pitching prospect at the event. “Brown is an awesome school and a great place to have it. I felt good that day. It was definitely one of my favorite showcases of the summer.”

It has helped the 5-9 150-pound right-handed pitcher get noticed.

“Obviously I’m not a big kid, but colleges like how I go out and compete and can still throw hard,” noted Rembish, who has topped at 87 on the mound. “I’m getting bigger, it’s all uphill from here.”

Rembish sees the work he has put in beginning to pay off.

“I worked very hard at my mechanics and velocity the last year and I was throwing in the high 80s toward the end of the summer,” the 19th-ranked junior right-handed pitcher in New England said. “I truly believe that I am only scratching the surface.
