Prep Baseball Nebraska Summer ID-Omaha: Event Preview

Bellevue, Nebraska - On Wednesday, June 5th, Prep Baseball travels to Bellevue West High School to host the Summer ID-Omaha. This event will feature over 50 prospects from the class of 2025 through 2027s. This collection of players will include plenty of fresh faces as well as returning faces.

EVENT HISTORY

Last year’s Summer ID-Omaha saw over 30 players at Bellevue West with multiple notable performances.

Millard South's Noah Gartner hit 92.6 mph on the mound at the Summer ID in 2023. This was a massive jump in velocity from his previous event in May 2022 where he topped out at 82.3 MPH and earned him a spot on at the Future Games playing for Team Midwest. Gartner has since committed to Nebraska

Papillion LaVista South's Emmett Minderman (2025, Uncommitted) was near the top of every position stat in this event. His 6.84 60 time led the field as did his 85 mph from across the diamond. He also ran his fastball up to 85.3 in 2023, the second highest behind only Gartner.

LOOKING AHEAD TO MONDAY

This year’s Summer ID roster looks to match and exceed last year’s performers. Here are several players to keep an eye on:

Garrett Andersen SS / RHP / Creighton Prep, NE / 2026

Rankings StateRank: 21 / POS: 4

Projectable player in the top 25 in the class of 2026. Showed a 95+ exit velocity in the Preseason All-State and had two home runs for Creighton Prep this season.

Cal Anthony OF / LHP / Creighton Prep, NE / 2026

Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 2

Two-way talent and number 10 in our class of 2026 rankings. Showed well in the Preseason All-State, with a fastball reaching 84 from the left-side and hit .406 this season for the Jr. Jays.

Griffin Goldman 1B / RHP / Gretna, NE / 2025

Goldman thrived with the Dragons this season, leading the team with 24 runs batted in at the plate and a tidy 1.87 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 33.2 innings pitched.

Jordan Monroe OF / 3B / Norris, NE / 2025

Rankings StateRank: 74 / POS: 19

Coming off a solid season with the state champion Norris team. His performance earned his a spot on our All-State 2nd team.

Owen Musil 1B / RHP / Elkhorn South, NE / 2025

Rankings StateRank: 42 / POS: 1

Musil has a strong arm both in the field and on the mound. It's been a year since we've seen him in showcase action so we're excited to see how that has developed.

Landon Sandy C / 3B / SOUTHWEST HIGH SCHOOL, NE / 2025

Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 3

Another member of our All-State teams, Sandy hit .323/.446/.600 and led the Silver Hawks with 22 runs batted in. He's our top uncommitted catcher in the class of 2025.

Hunter Spencer SS / RHP / Bennington, NE / 2025

Rankings StateRank: 68 / POS: 9

Solid performance at the Nebraska State Games, Spencer showed that he has a good understanding of the zone, drawing 14 walks and getting on-base at a .471 clip for the Bennington Badgers.

These are just 7 of the over 50 exciting prospects that will be in attendance in Bellevue.
