PBR: Why did you choose Central College?
I chose Central College because I love everything about the school including the campus and the academics. I also love the coaching staff, they really push their players to be the best they can possibly be and they have high expectations for them. I want to be a part of a baseball program that strives to be the best.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
The other school I was considering was Doane. Doane has a beautiful campus and a fantastic baseball program however, it did not have what I wanted academically.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
I first met Coach Schirm during Iowa Private College Week on a visit. I also ran into him at Iowa Western when I went watch some friends play. I kept in contact with him and some of my coaches also contacted him. Our relationship grew from there.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
I am extremely relieved to be done with the recruiting process. I can fully focus on being the best player I can be.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

The two deciding factors for me were the wonderful coaching staff and the strong athletic training program. I strongly believe at Central College I will develop into the best player I can be and I will get a great start on my athletic training career.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
My father Steve Lefeber has helped me get to where I am today. He has poured more hours into helping me be the player I am than I can count. I will always be thankful of the support my family has shown me through out my life on and off the field.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
The recruiting process was not as difficult as I thought. I had visited about 10 different schools and the only part of the process I struggled with was finding that right fit, which I found at Central.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
They plan to use me as a utility player. During the fall I played all over the outfield and the infield. I am excited to fill any role that Coach Schirm gives me.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
My most memorable baseball moment was making it to the Legion State Tournament last year. We lost our first district game to our rivals Burke but, we battled our way back to the championship game by beating Gross, Burke, and Papillion South.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
Drew Smith is easily the best player I have competed with and against. I had the pleasure of playing with him in St. Louis with the USA Nebraska Team. Every time we played him it seemed like he either hit one out or hit a few doubles. It was impossible to keep him off the bases.
