October 4, 2018
PBR Nebraska strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR: Why did you choose Mount Mercy?
I chose Mount Mercy because I had been looking for a smaller private school where I can get a great degree, while still being able to play baseball.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
I hadn’t really gotten much traction when it came to recruiting but I was looking at schools like Doane which is in my area, just smaller NAIA schools where i can get a great degree while still having an immediate impact on the team.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
I attended a Midwest Showcase that was done at Mount Mercys field, and i had sent out an email to their coach expressing my interest. I got a text from the assistant coach (JJ Schwennen) showing their interest too, and i got into a good conversation with him as well as coach Dahm about my goals for the future.
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
What it really came down to was coach Dahm’s experience, as he was head coach at Creighton for 10 years then Iowa for another 10.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
I can’t thank my parents enough for putting me in the position to succeed and my past coaches who helped develop me into a college-level talent
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
As a 5’11 right hander, our biggest emphasis is on strengthening the lower body to compensate for my height and staying healthy.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
Easily the most memorable moment of my baseball career was being apart of last seasons championship team, it was an unreal experience and I loved being around all of those guys.
PBR: Who is the best player you have competed against?
That's tough, but I would have to say facing Kyle Perry in legion this year.
Scouting Report
5-foot-11, 160 pound right handed pitcher tops out in the low 80s mph with his fastball. Compact frame, mechanics are clean and arm works well out front. Strong backside with athletic finish. Fastball ball has late life to his arm side. Feel for 66-68 mph breaking ball and change up.
