Scouting Report

6-foot-3, 165 pound right handed pitcher tops out in the low 80's with his fastball. Long and loose frame, that should continue to fill out. Repeats mechanics well. Uses frame to get ball on a downhill plane. Arm is short on the backside, long out front. Front side stays closed, stays in line to home plate. 10/6 shape breaking ball is sharp, change up fades. Project-able strike thrower with ability to control the running game.

PBR: Why did you choose Nebraska Kearney?
I chose Nebraska Kearney because after meeting with Coach Day, Coach Anderson, and Coach Spencer I felt that they had a plan for my development as a player and a young man.  Family and relationships are very important to me and I felt that they make those two things a priority within their program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Wayne State, SWCC, Buena Vista, Augustana, Northwest Missouri State

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
Coach Anderson first saw me pitch in the state tournament against Papio.  They called me shortly after.  We stayed in contact via text, email, and phone until my official visit.

PBR: You play with Omaha Elite in the fall, what has that experience been like?
It has been an amazing experience for me.  Traveling to different colleges on the weekends and playing against top talent has made for an exciting fall.  Coach Povich has been invaluable in the recruiting process.  His knowledge and experience have been very important to my parents and I.  Coach did a fantastic job maximizing the level of exposure I received.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
Nebraska Kearney gave me an amazing offer that allowed me to stay in-state and close to family.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
My mom has always been the one to get me to practices, games, and out of town tournaments. She's always invested time and money into opportunities that would help my baseball future; things like select baseball, pitching lessons, high school baseball, Omaha Elite, and college visits come to mind. She's always been my biggest fan, and main supporter.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
My most memorable moment to date was when all the years of hard work, pitching lessons, hours of practice, and love for the game came together when I shook Coach Day's hand, accepted his scholarship offer and gave my commitment to play for Nebraska Kearney.

PBR: Who is the hardest hitter in the state to get out?
Will Olson.  It is a great thing that we will be on the same college team.
