Prep Baseball was at McCrary Park in Asheboro, NC on Saturday November 2nd and Sunday November 3rd for the Fall Top Prospect Games.  Saturday featured the Underclass event, with players from the 2027 and 2028 classes.  Sunday the 2025 and 2026 grads participated in the Upperclass event.  Designed for top uncommitted players in North Carolina, there was plenty of talent on hand for each day of the event.

Players opened their day with body measurements, grip strength testing, jump tests, and their offensive workout.  Defensive workouts were next, with players working out at the positions of their choice, giving scouts a chance to see their movement, arm action, arm strength, and feel for the glove. Players followed their defensive testing with a laser timed 60 yard dash.  VALD Performance lasers were used to capture the 60 time, plus a 10yd and 30yd split.  

Following the workout, players took part in a controlled scrimmage with pitchers facing live hitters.  As the game concluded a "machine" scrimmage gave the hitters more at-bats and position players a ton of defensive reps.  Prep Baseball scouts were on hand and will be reporting on player performance throughout November, and into the spring season.

Haitham Abulatifa RHP / 3B / Junius H Rose, NC / 2028 Average build. YOuthful look. Strength present. Fastball played above radar reading with an average spin rate of 2321rpm creating induced vertical break. Solid ride and run metrics. Rhythmic delivery. Clean arm. High-3/4 release. Athletic release.

Emerson Amrich 2B / RHP / Calvary Day, NC / 2028 Average build. Young. Lots of maturation still ahead. Around the zone with a 3 pitch mix. Simple delivery. Repeats.

Benjamin Bernard 2B / RHP / Green Level, NC / 2027 Athletic presence. Solid twitch and strength in an average build. Heavy run out of the hand on a fastball up to 82. 3/4 slot.  Attacked the zone.

Brandon Bush OF / RHP / Hoggard, NC / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 35 / POS: 8 Athletic frame with length in the limbs. Athletic mover. Good twitch and strength. Ride and run on the fastball at 80-82. Average to above arm speed with good arm strength. Clean, over-the-top. Positioned to take jumps in the coming years.

Ryan Edwards RHP / OF / DH Conley, NC / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 101 / POS: 23 Lean frame. Moves well down the hill. Solid run out of the hand on the fastball, peaking at 82. Short action on the breaking ball acting late entering the zone. Simple delivery. On-line and level. Clean arm. High-3/4 slot. Early pronator.

Asa Foster LHP / 1B / Chapel Hill, NC / 2027 Lean frame. High waist. Good arm strength. Clean arm action through an over-the-top slot. Solid arm strength. Breaking ball could become a weapone, spinning up to 2419rpm.

Casey Murray RHP / OF / Middle Creek, NC / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 73 / POS: 16 Average build. Lean. Long arm. Athletic slot. Over-the-top. Average to above arm speed. Simple and direct delivery. Repeats. Solid run at 78-80. Slider has late tilt and bite with late length at 67-72, 2430rpm.
