The weekend of September 20 - 22 saw some of the top players on the east coast arrive at McCrary Park in Asheboro, NC for a pro scout driven event, the South Atlantic Border Battle. Prep Baseball scouts were on hand each day of the event. Friday night saw some of the top uncommitted seniors from North Carolina and South Carolina face off. Saturday and Sunday featured teams put together by area scouts, representing the MLB club of the area scout. Four teams of 2025 players were pitted against each other and two teams of 2026 grads formed as well.
For each team, players were able to take an abbrievated pro-style workout with BP and a defensive workout. The uncommitted game on Friday was one 9 inning affair. The top 2025 and 2026 players each played two, eight innings games.
