Prep Baseball was at Trojan Field at FTCC Park on Thursday October 10th for the Fayetteville Fall ID.  Open to all high school players in North Carolina, the event drew a talented group of players for the workout session.

The day began with players going through their athletic testing.  Players ran a laser timed 60, with 10yd and 30yd splits, followed by grip strength testing and vertical jump testing. Offensive evaluations were next with players hitting off a Jr. Hack Attack, going through multiple rounds of BP.  TrackMan and BLAST were used to get advanced metrics on each hitter's swing and the ball flight off the bat. Following the offensive session, players worked out at their defensive positions and then pitchers threw controlled bullpens.  The entire day was captured on video and player profiles will be updated with a highlight video of the workout.

The roster from the Fayetteville Fall ID and all of the stats can be seen HERE.

60 Yard Time

VALD laser timing system was used to time the runners in the 60. 10yd and 30yd splits were taken as part of the run as well. Below we see the to runners of the 60yd course.

Jump Testing

Swift Jump Mat was used to measure each player's vertical jump and their RSI jump.  The vertical jump is a 1 jump test to see how high a player can get off the ground from a static two-foot stance.  The RSI jump is a measurement of consecutive jumps to see how quickly and how high a player can get off the ground, giving scouts a feel for quickness and power off the ground.
