James came into the 2023 year with a lot of buzz, off helping Team USA win a gold medal, while receiving tournament MVP honors.  He followed up that performance with a big spring season.  Davie faced several high end arms in the spring and James continued to pump out big numbers, handling high velocity and good stuff from older arms in the conference.  For all of his work, he was one of three North Carolina 2025 grads to earn an invited to the inaugural Prep Baseball All-American game in Milwaukee, WI.  Again, with the spotlight on him, he shined during the workout day and in the game play.
