On Saturday August 6th PBR of NC was at Buck Hardee Field at Legion Stadium in Wilmington, NC hosting the Last Chance Summer ID and a Scout Day with Team Beast NC. Players in attendance ranged from the 2023-2026 grad classes. 

The day began with catchers going through a defensive evaluation followed by pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting ball flight data. After the bullpens, position players ran a laser timed 60 using Swift Technology then taking BP on the field with Trackman gathering ball flight information. The day concluded with outfielders and infielders going through a defensive evaluation.

Quick Hitters - Pitchers

Kayleb Wray, RHP, Ashley HS, 2024
Athletic frame with broad shoulders.  Stands 6-foot-3, 200 pounds.  Stretch only.  Lower half coils through balance working closed down the hill, back to an on-line landing.  Medium arm swing to a high-¾ slot with average to above arm speed.  Fastball at 79-80.  Sink metrics, playing true through the zone with 12:45 spin tilt at release.  Landed the breaking ball and change-up for strikes.

Gaddison Speight, RHP, Laney HS, 2026
5-foot-10, 139 pounds.  Stretch only.  Level with solid rhythm and looseness through the delivery.  Long arm swing and over-the-top slot.  Fastball peaked at 71, 1809rpm.  Some ride and run out of the hand.  Elevated but in the zone throughout the bullpen.  Good arm speed and feel for a change-up at 66-68.
