Statistical Breakdown: Dry Pond Baseball Scout Day

On Saturday May 20th PBR of North Carolina was at Moor Park in Mooresville, NC for a Scout Day with the Charlotte Megastars and Dry Pond Baseball. The Scout Day featured players from the 2024-2026 grad classes.
The day began with outfielders and infielders going through a defensive evaluation followed by players running a laser timed 60. Position players then took BP on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data. After BP, catchers went through their defensive evaluation. The day concluded with pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting ball flight data.

60 YARD DASH
TRACKMAN MAX EXIT VELOCITY (BP)
During BP, TrackMan tracked ball flight off the bat. One element TrackMan is able to produce is the exit velocity. Below are the top Exit Velocities produced during live BP.

POSITIONAL VELOCITY – INFIELDERS
Infielders were able to workout at shortstop throwing across the infield, or from 1B throwing to 2B and 3B in the pro-style workout.
POSITIONAL VELOCITY – OUTFIELDERS
Outfielders worked out from right field and center field, making throws to the plate and third base. Throws were measured by a radar gun to gauge arm strength.
CATCHER POP TIMES & POSITIONAL VELOCITY
In the pro-style workout, catchers workout from behind home plate, making multiple throws to 2B, simulating a stolen base attempt.
TRACKMAN INFO - PITCHER BULLPENS
Pitchers threw a controlled bullpen showcasing their full arsenal of pitches. Velocity and spin rate information was gathered off of the TrackMan. TrackMan analytics are the official analytics and the velocities below were captured by TrackMan.
