Quick Hitters: TPA Position Players

Matt Payne
Director of Scouting, PBR of NC

Thursday June 18th saw PBR Scouts converge at Ting Park in Holly Springs, NC to host a Scout Day with The Performance Academy (TPA).  TPA's Scout Day featured close to fifty players from their organization.  Players covered classes from the 2021 - 2023 graduating years.

During the Scout Day, pitchers threw a controlled bullpen with information gathered on TrackMan and a Stalker Pro SII radar gun.  Position players were able to run a laser timed 60, on the artificial surface at Ting Stadium, followed by a defensive and offensive workout.  During the live BP portion, hitters used Blast Motion sensors to measure pre-contact analytics and TrackMan measured ball flight off the bat.

Today we dive into some of the some of the position players that made a quick impression.  The Quick Hitters blog is not intended to be a "top prospect" list, but rather a quick glance at some of the players that had a good day..  More information will come as the PBR Scouting Staff continues to dive head first into all of the information gathered.
