Quick Hitters: Dry Pond Baseball Scout Day

On Saturday May 20th PBR of North Carolina was at Moor Park in Mooresville, NC for a Scout Day with the Charlotte Megastars and Dry Pond Baseball. The Scout Day featured players from the 2024-2026 grad classes.
The day began with outfielders and infielders going through a defensive evaluation followed by players running a laser timed 60. Position players then took BP on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data. After BP, catchers went through their defensive evaluation. The day concluded with pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting ball flight data.

Quick Hitters
6-foot, 160-pound frame. Consistently hit balls on the barrel during his BP rounds. Peak exit velocity at 92.2 mph, average EV at 83.4 mph. Balanced swing, barrel stays long through the zone, hands are quick with feel for the barrel. Arm topped at 85 mph from the outfield.
6-foot, 215-pound frame. Hands are strong, barrel works flat through the zone, Worked through the middle of the field during BP. Peak exit velocity at 95.4 mph, average EV at 86.4 mph.
5-foot-8, 165-pound frame. LIned balls through the middle and to the left center gap during BP. Top exit velocity at 88.8 mph. Simple, balanced swing, short path to the ball and keeps his barrel through the zone. Solid actions on the infield.
5-foot-7, 120-pound frame. Left hand hitter. Lined balls to both sides of the field in BP. Barrel stay inside and through the ball. Stays short to the ball with feel for the barrel. Top exit velocity at 74.9 mph, average EV at 69.4 mph
5-foot-10, 130-pound lanky frame. Left hand hitter with looseness to his swing. Barrel stays flat through the zone, line drive approach working gap to gap. Peak exit velocity at 84.2 mph, average EV at 78 mph. Arm reached 72 mph from behind the plate.
Strong build at 5-foot-11, 195-pounds. Lined balls to the left center gap during BP. Top exit velocity at 93.7 mph, average EV at 69.9 mph. Strong hand with his barrel working level through the zone. Has arm strength from behind the plate with his throws topping at 82 mph.
Large frame at 6-foot-2, 250-pounds. Left hand hitter. Barreled balls to both sides of the field during BP. Top exit velocity at 93.7 mph, average EV at 80.3 mph. Balanced swing, hands are strong, slight lift to the swing path.
