Quick Hitters: SBA North - Position Players

On Wednesday September 13th PBR of North Carolina was on hand at Mallard Creek High for a Scout Day with SBA North. The Scout Day featured players from the 2024-2027 grad classes.
The evening began with catchers going through a defensive evaluation followed by pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting data on each pitch. After the pitchers the position players ran a laser timed 60 followed by batting practice on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data. The events concluded with outfielders and infielders going through a defensive evaluation.

Quick Hitters
6-foot-2, 170-pounds. Worked through the middle and to his pull side during BP. Barrel works inside the ball with some lift to the swing path. Top exit velocity at 82.3 mph, average EV at 72 mph. Arm reached 75 mph on the infield.
6-foot, 160-pound build. Left hand hitter. Balanced swing with his barrel staying through the zone, hands have quickness. Worked mostly to the right center gap posting a peak exit velocity of 90.9 mph, average EV at 81 mph. Ran a 7.28 60-time on the lasers.
5-foot-10, 140-pound frame. Left hand hitter. Worked through the middle and to the opposite field during BP. Flat swing path and keeps his barrel inside the ball with some quickness to his hands. Top exit velocity at 84.1 mph, average EV at 72.5 mph. Arm peaked at 77 mph from the outfield.
6-foot-2, 185-pound build. Flat swing path with his barrel staying through the zone and getting extension out front. Worked to both sides of the field posting a top exit velocity of 89.6 mph, average EV at 82 mph. Arm peaked at 79 mph across the diamond. Ran a 7.25 laser timed 60.
5-foot-10, 157-pound build. Stayed through the middle of the field during BP. Uses a sturdy base with no stride, flat barrel path. Peak exit velocity at 87.1 mph, average EV at 78.7 mph. Arm reached 76 mph on the infield.
6-foot, 185-pound frame. Hit several balls off the barrel working through the middle of the field. Top exit velocity at 85.6 mph, average EV at 78.9 mph. Direct path with his barrel staying through the zone with quickness to his hands. Throws up to 75 mph from behind the plate. Ran a 7.29 laser timed 60.
5-foot-11, 190-pound frame. Worked mostly to his pull side during BP. Peak exit velocity at 89.9 mph, average EV at 74.2 mph. Barrel works level through the zone with some strength in his hands. Arm topped at 77 mph on the infield.
6-foot-1, 175-pound athletic build. Hit several balls off the barrel working gap to gap. Short path keeping his barrel inside and through the ball with quick hands. Top exit velocity at 91.5 mph, average EV at 83.5 mph. Athletic on the infield with his arm topping at 79 mph to first base. Posted a 7.13 60-time on the lasers.
5-foot-11, 190-pound frame. Hands are quick with strength. Lined balls through the middle of the field posting a peak exit velocity of 91.6 mph, average EV at 81.7 mph. Takes a short path with his barrel staying inside the ball and level through the zone. Arm peaked at 73 mph from behind the plate.
5-foot-10, 168-pound build. Stayed through the middle of the field during BP. Flat swing path that gets extension out front, some quickness to his hands. Peak exit velocity at 85.2 mph, average EV at 76.2 mph. Throws from the outfield reached 75 mph.
6-foot, 185-pound frame. Left hand hitter. Worked through the middle and to his pull side during BP. Mostly flat swing path with some quickness to his hands. Top exit velocity at 86.9 mph, average EV at 77.1 mph. Arm peaked at 72 mph from the outfield. Ran a 7.05 laser timed 60.
5-foot-11, 185-pound build. Short to the ball with his barrel staying through the zone. Hands have strength and quickness. Top exit velocity at 86.9 mph, average EV at 76.5 mph. Throws from behind the plate reached 74 mph.
