The 2023 winter showcase season is upon us with the Preseason All-State South taking off this Sunday in the Charlotte suburb of Waxhaw, NC. Each player will update their stats, analytics, and video, showcasing their gains from the off-season, as they continue to get ready for the spring.
As we enter the 5th year of the Preseason All-State event in North Carolina it is obvious this event has become a must-see for college coaches and pro scouts. While most schools are not allowed on the road yet, per NCAA rules, they are able to follow each event, seeing trusted stats and video as the events conclude. From the past 4 years, PBR of North Carolina has seen 189 player commit to play college baseball. This Sunday kicks off 4 weeks of Preseason All-State events. While we are still early in the preseason, but players are beginning to ramp up their workouts as scrimmages and game play is less than 1 month away for most high school players in the state. The outfielders in attendance at The Athletic Barn this Sunday will be able to take defensive work on the outdoor turf, showing off their arm action, arm strength, and accuracy. Catchers will be able to simulate pop time throws to 2B with PBR Scouts profiling arm strength, pop times, and accuracy. Players will also go through some athletic testing with Swift Athletics recording run times and jumping measurements. All hitters will go through a warm-up prior to taking a live BP in an opened cage area, allowing TrackMan and Blast to record pre-contact and post-contact data.
