Player of the Week nominations are submitted by High School coaches across North Carolina each week.  Along with the nominations, Prep Baseball Report is diving into box scores, talking to coaches and scouts, and attending as many games as possible.

PBR's staff sifts through the information sent in and seen by our scouts to determine the PBR Player of the Week every Tuesday.  You can see a full list of players off to a hot start in Diamond Notes, a collection of notes, stats, and highlights from the past week, published every Wednesday during the season.

Luke Schmolke, RHP, 2022, Lake Norman

The righty had a dominant outing against South Iredell tossing a No-hitter and striking out 15 and only throwing 88 pitches. Lake Norman won the game 1-0. Schmolke is committed to Georgia Tech.

Brooks Brannon, C, 2022, Randleman

The North Carolina recruit put together an outstanding week at the Hanahan Invitational in Charleston, SC. Brannon went 8-13 on the week with 3 home runs and 10 runs batted in. He currently has 12 home runs on the year with 58 RBI's.
