There are over 450 high school baseball teams in North Carolina. There are as many as 19 different classifications that schools belong to, sponsoring baseball in North Carolina. There is 1 ranking that breaks down the top teams in North Carolina.. Welcome to the PBR Power 25.
The Power 25 is a high school team ranking that will come out every other week in the 2019 season. The rankings are those of PBR, conducted and produced by North Carolina PBR Scouts. The goal is to break down the top 25 teams from across North Carolina, regardless of their classification.
This is the 3rd release of the Power 25. Stability reigns at the top of the poll but there is some turmoil in the final slots. Five teams left the poll, making room for 5 new teams, a couple making a return to the Power 25. Below is the full Power 25 with previous rankings and each schools' record for the past two weeks. There are also some notes on teams in the poll and those just outside.
*PBR administers and runs the NCBCA Coaches Poll as well. The NCBCA Coaches Poll is voted on by HS coaches from across North Carolina. PBR does not have a vote in the Coaches Poll. PBR gathers information for the coaches and tallies the votes that are sent in to name the Top 10 teams in the NCHSAA's A, AA, AAA, and AAAA classifications.
