 In June, Prep Baseball Report of NC launched and began to follow the top prospects from across the state.  Today we release our first look at the NC rankings for the Class of 2018.

Several players took advantage of the summer circuit, continuing to develop while playing tough competition.  RHP/SS Owen White (Carson HS) vaulted to the top of the 2018 list with performances for the South Charlotte Panthers and his outing at the East Coast Professional Showcase in Florida. 

While White remains uncommitted, two of the top five are committed.  Logan Jarosz (Eastern Alamance HS) and Will Sandy (Leesville Road HS) have committed to Georgia Tech and North Carolina, respectively.  The recruiting season is under way for the 2018 class, with 18 of the Top 100 are committed.  Eight of the Top 30 have committed to ACC schools, including Aaron Beasley (Voyager Academy) to Duke and Holden Laws (South Granville HS) to North Carolina State.

Two players who made jumps late in the summer at the PBR Future Games, are Bennett Nance (Morehead HS) and Austin Primm (North Gaston HS).  Nance recently committed to North Carolina, after his outing in Indianapolis.  Primm moved up to the #5 spot in the rankings after his dominant weekend against talent from across the country.
