No. 4 Charlotte Christian Halts Richmond's 10 Game Streak

On Thursday, a unique out-of-conference matchup occurred with Charlotte Christian hosting Richmond County. Charlotte Christian entered the contest at 14-4 (3-1 in league play) and ranked No. 4 in the PBR Power 25. Richmond County lost 2 of its first 3 games of the year, but has reeled off 10 wins in a row entering Thursday to move to 15-3 overall (11-1 in conference) and receiving votes in the PBR/NCBCA 4A Coaches Poll.
Christian started junior LHP Brett Adams. Adams was able to work 4 innings scattering 3 hits while striking out 7 without any free passes. Adams was backed up by a potent quick strike offense. The Knights jumped on Raider starter Hunter Paris for 7 runs in 3+ innings of work, doing most of their damage in a 6 run 4th inning. JT Killen, Adams, and Shane Russell each homered for the Knights on the night.
Into the 5th, up 10-0, Charlotte Christian brought in freshman Calvert Clark to close it out. Clark worked a clean inning without allowing any baserunners.
