Nine to Know: Uncommitted 2020 & 2021 Arms
March 18, 2020
Each week Nine to Know works to bring coaches, scouts, and baseball fans a group of players to know and watch. Nine to Know includes players that fit into that week's category with player notes, stats, and video. The Corona Virus pandemic has halted baseball across the country, potentially costing a lot of players their Junior and Senior season. For the Seniors that are still working to find a home, there is stress, but they should know schools are still working to find their 2021 roster. The Junior class may feel a bit stressed as well as they miss a big spring season, moving toward their busiest recruiting period, the summer prior to their senior year.
Today on Nine to Know, we highlight nine pitchers from North Carolina in the 2020 and 2021 graduating classes, that are still uncommitted. Ideally this post helps these players connect with a potential school, but it should also allow players to reflect for a minute that the recruiting process is still on-going. Once some of the social distancing parameters are lifted, you will see coaches working fast to setup visits and lock in their future rosters.

6'1, 190 pound righty peaked his velocity in his junior year, touching 91 for PBR. After a car accident, Simmons fought to regain his slot, still touching 87 this past summer. Someone may bet on the future development and end up with a power arm. STATISTICS
