Nine to Know: Newcomers to the 2021 Rankings

Just prior to the Holiday break, PBR of North Carolina released our updated and expanded class of 2021 rankings for the state. The rankings were expanded to the top 200 players in North Carolina with fifty-seven new names entering the rankings.
Today as part of our continued series, Nine to Know, we take an in-depth look at nine of the newcomers. Each player has attended a PBR event, allowing PBR scouts to update the player's information, add an evaluation, and add video to the player's profile. Several of these players will be high follows as they enter their spring season, if they have not committed already.

- Physical 6-foot-2, 190 pound athlete

- Sub 7.00 runner with a strong arm and exit velocity at 95 mph off the barrel
Evaluation from October of 2019
Lanky frame with strength present. Athletic 6-foot-2, 190 pounds. Filled the stat sheet with a 6.94 laser timed 60, 89 mph arm from right field, and 95 mph exit velocity off the bat. Right handed hitter is balanced with high hands and a vertical bat in his setup. Slightly open, uses a leg kick to load his body. Medium stride, back to even. Quick bat works to get extension, staying level through the zone. Pull tendency. Ball jumps off the barrel. Average to above barrel awareness with some head movement through contact. Aggressive, works to create strength and quickness at contact on each swing. In the outfield, works athletic through the ball, receiving off his left foot. Easy transitions. Long arm swing to an over the top slot with a high front side. Good carry out of the hand with average feel for locating the throw. Arm speed and athleticism are present on the defensive side.
