Nine to Know: NC Prospects Ready for the 2022 Super 60
February 10, 2021
Year in and year out, the Super 60 is the biggest winter event for draft prospects in that year's senior class. This past weekend the Super 60 did not disappoint. Moved to Wisconsin, away from its home for years in McCook, Illinois, the Super 60 saw player after player impress and one-up each other during the workout.
Position players went through a full pro-style workout in the spacious MOSH Performance Center. A laser timed 60 yard dash was followed by live BP, where scouts could see the ball fly off the bat in the open arena. Finally, the position players went through their defensive workout. Players received feedback from TrackMan, Blast, and Visual Edge during the workout. Bullpens were thrown on the backend of the high level event. Each arm threw a controlled bullpen with TrackMan tracking ball flight analytics and providing some slow-motion video. Edgetronic video was also captured on each arm.
To top off the event, Mizuno Baseball was on hand. Each player in attendance received a glove, shoes, and apparel. The event has always drawn top talent, working out in front of draft decision makers from across the country. Mizuno's envolvment in 2021 took the event to another level.
