NC: Cedar Ridge Pounces on Apex Friendship

PBR was at Apex Friendship on Wednesday night for a non-conference matchup with Cedar Ridge and Apex Friendship.  An offensive night saw each club with double digit hits, but the Red Wolves used 10 additional walks to open the game up early.  

Cedar Ridge scored 4 runs in the first inning, on 2 singles and 3 walks, and never looked back. Cedar Ridge scored 14 runs on 10 hits, 10 walks and 4 HBP.   The Red Wolves were paced  offensively by uncommitted sophomore catcher, Efrain Morales, who had two hits, a walk, one HBP, 1 rbi, 1 SB, and three runs. 

The Patriots did pound out 11 hits on the night.  Apex Friendship was led by AJ Ciaccio with 3 hits, including a double.

With the win, Cedar Ridge improved to 7-6 overall.  The Red Wolves will be at Eastern Alamance on Friday.  Apex Friendship drops to 8-5 and will host a conference game on Friday with Apex.
