NC: 2018 Top Prospect Games Preview: Middle Infielders
July 23, 2018
Origninally scheduled for Tuesday July 24th, close to 80 of the top 2019 and 2020 players from across North Carolina take part in the 2018 Top Prospect Games. With expected rain and thunderstorms, the event has been postponed and is in the process of being re-scheduled. PBR will announce the new date in the coming days. Meanwhile we will continue to dive into the expected roster for the event.
In last year's inaugural NC Top Prospect Games, over 50 players took part with 40 of the 2018 graduates in attendance making their college commitment after the event. There were over 15 college and universities represented and 8 pro organizations. With the roster for the 2019 event nearing completion, this will be an event college coaches and pro scouts will attend.
The middle infielders include several athletic 2019 and 2020 graduates. During the Top Prospect Games, each will go through a defensive workout and multiple rounds of BP allowing college coaches and pro scouts in attendance to get a full evaluation on each player. Following the workout, players will compete in a controlled scrimmage where they will face live pitching. Below is just a sampling of the talent that will be in attendance.
