NC: 2018 Top Prospect Games Preview: Corner Infielders
July 20, 2018
On Tuesday July 24th, close to 80 of the top 2019 and 2020 players from across North Carolina will converge on Boshamer Stadium on the campus of the University of North Carolina. Each player has been assigned to a team. Position players will go through an offensive and defensive workout, followed by live game action where the pitchers will throw two controlled innings.
In last year's inaugural NC Top Prospect Games, over 50 players took part with 40 of the 2018 graduates in attendance making their college commitment after the event. There were over 15 college and universities represented and 8 pro organizations. With the roster for the 2019 event nearing completion, this will be an event college coaches and pro scouts will attend.
The corner infielders in attendance feature a collection of talented hitters. Several project to have the ability to drive the baseball at the next level. During the Top Prospect Games on Tuesday, each will go through a defensive workout and multiple rounds of BP allowing college coaches and pro scouts in attendance to get a full evaluation on each player. Below is just a sampling of the talent that will be in attendance.
