Litsch's Lookback: Week 12
May 12, 2021
Litsch’s Lookback is a weekly segment that takes a look back at the standouts from that week around the state of Florida. The entire PBR Florida staff and myself will be out for coverage at High School, JUCO, and NCAA baseball games each week. We will highlight the biggest standouts from the games we saw that week.
This past week we had coverage of the Florida JUCO State Tournament in Lakeland as well as the PBR Florida Academy World Series in Daytona. We also had high school coverage in the Panhandle. Take a look at the players who stood out to myself and the rest of our staff this past week.
Jesse Litsch
2020 Gabe Wright, OF, IMG Academy
Wright was impressive in all aspects of the game. Defensively he showed potential to be a plus fielder with a great 1st step. On the offensive side he barreled up multiple balls and showed a simple line drive approach. The thing that stood out the most was his base running, he is a plus runner and has great instincts on the base paths.
2021 Dominic Fritton, LHP, Pro5 Academy
Really impressed with the overall pitchability from this lefty. He pounds the zone with a heavy fastball with late armside run, and flashed a plus breaking ball at times. He shows repeatable mechanics with a live loose arm. High follow uncommitted arm.

2022 Everett Cooper, INF, Pro5 Academy
Cooper the super athletic Alabama commit showed why he is a highly touted player. He is a switch hitter with a great approach from both sides showing the ability to drive the ball gap to gap. He has super quick hands and stays within himself and puts together some great at bats.
